Just wanted to drop you a line and tell you about some results with my XLT and new Bigfoot coil. I recently purchased a Bigfoot coil and was excited to try it out. Not only was it lightweight, but I was able to set my sensitivity a little higher than usual. Anyway, on my first trip out with it I found a U.S. Dragoon button (pretty rare for south alabama). All my detecting buddies had a fit over it. No one they knew had ever found one. I called John Collins at Whites, who sold me the coil, and told him my story. He told me to send in a picture and a short story. Well,a week went by and I had forgot all about it, until I went hunting Saturday morning. That was the day I found my first Confederate button! Turns out it was a South Carolina State button, about 80% gilt still intact. After researching on the net, I figured it's worth at about 250-300 dollars. If you think my buddies had a fit over my dragoon, you should have seen how long they spent in my field on Sunday! Needless to say, my XLT, Bigfoot, and buttons, are the talk of town.
