White's,
Just recently, my buddy, Rob (Paco), invited me to one of his research
sites. This farmfield has already produced 2 half cents, a Draped Bust
copper, and numerous buttons. So, we decided to give it another try. With
the corn being knee high, we could still easily grid areas off. We detected
for about 45 minutes, with nothing to show for, until my Pro-XL gave off a
solid reading. I dug down to about 6" and out popped a Draped Bust half
cent. This is the 3rd one from this field! I re-checked my hole and found a
flat button. Once again, I re-checked my hole and it was still giving
another signal. After digging more soil out, I found a square nail. That
just shows how great White's detectors are!
For some reason, we left this field and decided to hit another one nearer to
the Susquehanna river. It was here that I got a nice reading that pinpointed
at 5". It turned out to be a 1770's King George III copper. About 30 minutes
later, I got another solid signal and at 1", out popped another King George
III copper. To finish the day, I was walking up a row, when I got a loud
hit. I looked down and picked up a 1786 Connecticut copper off of the
ground.
This day, so far, has been my best and most memorable. Thanks again, Paco,
for the invitation.
But, most of all, thank you White's for great metal detectors! I am a
lifetime supporter and user of your products!
Sincerely,
Kirk
