Hello,
I got my new Spectra V³ Monday evening got used to it Tuesday around the house going through the menus and reading. I have an MXT and had a DFX. I sold my DFX to buy the V³. Went out Wednesday to hunt an old school that has been hunted a lot and found a 1896 Barber quarter. I was hunting in 2.5 single freq. and had the RX gain at 15. I was accepting all VDI's down to -30. The ground is pretty mild so I was using ground filter on 7.5 band and a ground balance of slightly positive +1. I got a good sound mixed with broken sounds and a good VDI of 83 mixed with other #'s, but got 83 from different angles. I began digging and there were a couple of old rusted nails in the same hole as I pulled the 1896 quarter out of. Not bad for a first hunt with the Spectra V³. I am attaching pictures of it. Thought you might like to know how well this detector is working. This is an awesome detector. Thanks, Steven W. |
