Hi White’s, I have always wanted a metal detector since I was a kid and boy am I glad I finally broke down and purchased an MXT300. I have been digging up (no pun intended) some information on some land my family owns in Massachusetts. Come to find out an American regiment had traveled through here on the way to Harford, CT. I thought I would give the property a chance. Swinging for a few hours with nothing more than a few shotgun shells, I got a real reading. I began to dig down about 4 inches and I found a cache of 19 musket balls and some cool rocks. I decided to keep the “rocks” to show to my wife. When I arrived home she laughed at me and told me they were French flints. She had spent some time with her dad doing Revolutionary War reenactments when she was a kid. The stuff might not be worth much, but to me holding something no one else has in 200 years is priceless to me. Thanks White’s for a great machine. Mike |
