Dear White's,

I received a call this summer from a man whose wife had lost her 4 Platinum, Diamond engagement, wedding rings on the beach in Avalon, NJ this past weekend. He explained to me that she had taken the rings off to apply sunscreen to their child and sat the rings on her shorts lying on the beach blanket and never picked them back up. She dumped them in the sand when they left, but not realizing they were missing until they returned home later that evening. In deep panic they returned to the spot on the beach right away with friends and family raking and searching the sand but had no luck.

Armed the next day with rental metal detectors they tried again also with no luck, so they found my metal detecting service add on the internet and gave me a call 2 days after the loss. We agreed to meet on the beach later that day and after gridding off the area where they were sitting I began searching the sands with my BeachHunter ID. I explained that it had been 2 days since their loss and that the rings may have moved some because of the beach screening tractor plows the beach each day.

After 15 minutes I received a nice yellow gold signal on the detector and recovered ring #1! Platinum band with diamonds all the way around, although not the most expensive it was the most sentimental being handed down from the grandmother. Marking that spot I moved on searching to the left and things got quiet so I started searching to the right of the first ring and 45 minutes later ring #2 appeared in my scoop, a beautiful diamond and blue sapphire ring moving 2 swings with the BHID and #3 a large diamond ring is in the scoop! 2 swings further gave up ring #4 the plain platinum band.

This whole time the husband just watched in amazement as the rings appeared from the sand saying "This is a miracle!" and that the metal detector I had was incredible the way it would id the targets, I explained that it’s the best out there! He immediately phoned his wife who was just in tears with happiness for their return, what a great feeling it was to have made someone that happy doing this great hobby. Once again Thanks to White’s Electronics for making it possible with their quality detectors. May I add I was given a very generous reward on top of seeing the smiles!
