White’s,

My MXT has been very busy for about the last year. Here is my partial scorecard:

38 British or Hibernian Half pennies, some in great condition

1 1722 Rosa American US penny

4 18th Century Spanish Silver coins, one is a 1/8 slice of an 8 reale

4 US pennies, three 1798, one 1794 thick planchet

Military Buttons:

British 64th regiment of foot officers

British pewter royal provincial

British Navy captain circa 1774

British Navy lieutenant circa 1768

American artillery \& engineers, Albert #AY10, the first ever found

American light artillery circa 1812

US Navy cuff circa 1840-1850

US Marines circa 1865

2-Confederate artillery

2-Confederate cavalry

1-Confederate engineers

1- Confederate infantry

2-Civil War era South Carolina

Silver Relics:

3Silver spoon fragments 18th Century

1 Fragment of a silver bracelet

2 Silver buttons Handle facing for a hairbrush

Weapons:

Numerous butt plates, trigger guards, side plates, etc. From weapons confiscated by reconstruction Yankees From freed slaves and destroyed.

Lots of Etc.

I am probably considered a disgrace to the detecting hobby since I search at my own expense and give 100% of the finds to the Plantation owners. I do all my searching at South Carolina Coastal Former Slave Plantations. I can’t explain the high numbers of coins I have found from places that seemingly had no need for coins.

Thanks,

Hal M.
