Dear White’s, Just wanted to let you know about my first Ring find. I was using my DFX with the Super 12 loop getting used to the new combination at a local park because I am going to the Ft. Donelson Relic Hunt in November. I had been digging coins and some trash for a couple of hours and it was getting dark. So as I was swinging the coil heading back to the car, I got a good signal reading VDI 85 with a 25 cent showing on the screen at 3 inches. I dug the plug because I never pass up a quarter no matter how tired I am or how late it is in the evening. To my amazement out popped a class ring. It was all caked and too dark to really look at it so I put it in my pouch, filled the hole and jumped into my car to go home and check out my find. I got home cleaned off all of the dirt and dried it off. The ring was scratch free and absolutely beautiful. It was 10 caret yellow gold, 1991 from Jeffersontown High School. The guy’s full name was engraved on the inside. On Monday morning from work, I e-mailed the High School Alumni Association and within 2 hours, I received (2) e-mail from the association with the 2nd e-mail with the guys cell phone number. I called Shannon after lunch about finding his ring and agreed to meet on my way home from work. When I met Shannon after work, he told me that by the time I had called him in the afternoon about finding the ring, he had (13) thirteen voice messages from different people telling him that his ring had been found. Shannon told me that the ring had in fact been stolen off of their mantle in 1991 and he thought he would never see it again. God indeed works in mysterious ways. Included is a picture of Shannon and me. Shannon is on the right. Thank you for a great product. White’s is the best and continues to be a world leader in the industry. John Louisville, KY |
