Hi there, I have had my MXT for a little over a year now and I love it. As soon as I got my MXT I was finding older and better coins. Old coins are my passion, the older the better. As I gained more experience and found good places to hunt, the old coins just started rolling in. About 8 months ago I paired the 10" D2 coil with my MXT and this gave me the extra depth I needed to get into some really old dimes for my area. Prior to my D2 purchase, my only silver coins were 5 silver Roosevelt dimes. Less than a week after I strapped on the D2, I had my first Mercury dime. Since then, I have found 4 Mercury dimes, 2 Barber dimes and even a 1915 Barber half. My oldest silver to date is an 1896 Canadian 10 cent piece with Queen Victoria on it. I don't have my first quarter yet but I must be getting close. I also want to add that this hobby has really improved my life. For one thing, being able to go to a park or school to metal detect on a beautiful sunny day gets me away from the stresses of everyday life. For another, the people that I have met through this hobby are some of the best. Most of the people that I have met are through my local metal detecting club, the BeaverState CoinShooters, or the White's sponsored online forum. I have made some great friends and hunting partners that it is my honor to know. So thanks White's for a great machine, not to mention customer service that is second to none. I have included some pics of my favorite silver coin finds so far. I am sure there is a lot more to come. Jim S. |
