Hello White's, RE: XLT is still kicking out the oldies When I first started metal detecting, I bought a White's XLT and instantly started looking for the old spots in my area. I found a location on one of the oldest maps of my area that was next to an old bridge. I scoured that area and found my first Indian Head cent there (an 1887 cent). Finding that first IH was a great experience and I remember sitting there after finding it, having a tough time wiping the smile off my face. Now, years later, I still get out with my XLT, and last week I thought I would go exploring around that old area again, where my first Indian Head cent was found. I thought to myself that it sure would be funny to find another IH out there. I started detecting, wasn't really thinking about it when I found a signal that was reading in the +60 VDI range, and I thought it would be a modern Lincoln Memorial zinc cent. But, I dug out the coin and the first thing I saw was a nice looking little shield on the coin (the one seen on the back of the Indian Head cent). I started to laugh thinking that it happened to be the same area, same detector, but years later, and here I was back out there smiling at a good find again (and this one is a beautiful coin too!) Thanks to all of you up there on the White's team. Rick (CA)
