Dear White's,

I acquired a used, but like-new White's IDX pro this week. Eager to see its potential, I took it to an old schoolyard to see what treasure I might glean from this heavily metal-detected site. I had personally visited this site with other brand detectors minimally 6 times previously.

The IDX ran very stable in the mineralized soil. The school had a soccer field, schoolyard and playground. An area next to the playground, near an old tree, had proven to be particularly iron-laden. I decided to hunt near there in the field, diagonally in respect to the direction I have previously hunted. After digging some clad, and about 30 minutes in to the hunt, I got a nice strong tone that the screen indicated as “Nickel.” I dug the plug and out popped a 1929 Buffalo Nickel: My FIRST ever!!!

I am very excited to have such a great first in a site whereby I had, in the past, only found clad. I am eager to revisit the site soon, because silver no-doubt lies beneath. What a great, accurate machine. What a happy customer I am. White's rocks!
