White's Electronics, I would like to give you some feedback on my wonderful experiences with my new V3i. The first day I got my new V3i, I took it out for a trial run after work. I went detecting at a house where I had found 104 coins with my DFX a few months prior. There was trash everywhere, both above and below the surface. Other folks with different brands of metal detectors tried this site, but were unable to find anything there due to the small pieces of iron and other debris which interfered with the operation of their inferior equipment. I had gone over that small area around that house twice very slowly with my DFX previously. Now I wanted to see what the V3i would find there, if anything. I found two wheat cents, one of which was about 7 inches down. I found 17 pennies total and four dimes. Most of the coins were six inches deep or more. The best find though really surprised me. I found a heart shaped locket of junk metal and a cheap chain which was all tangled up together with a 14K gold chain and cross. The VDI number was around 55 or so. I thought it was going to be a zinc penny, but I was getting some mixed signals. I was very excited to find gold the very first time out. The area I was hunting was a very small front yard. I went to another old property a few days later. I had very good success in the past there as well. I didn't think there was anything left there to find. My V3i located a 1921S Penny down 12". That is the deepest penny I have ever found. I also found a 1943D nickel which was on edge and 6 inches deep which I missed before. The deepest target I have found so far with my V3i was a case pocket knife which was down more than 16" deep. It had been there too long and was severely corroded. I have included some pictures of some of my metal detecting finds for this year. The pennies are all wheat cents. Thanks for making such great equipment. Sincerely, Robin From New Mexico |
