White’s Beats Fisher’s

To the good people at White’s Electronics,

My Father-in-Law had heard about an old homestead site from a father and son team that used another brand of detectors (Fisher). They had hit this site several times without finding very much. We had a day here a couple of weeks ago when the snow had melted and the ground was unfrozen.

I found these four Spanish counterfeit coins near an old iron water pipe. They were cast in Pewter and brass coated to give them a Gold look. They are all dated 1792. They are supposed to imitate Gold 8 Escudos. I was using an Eagle Spectrum with a 600 Blue Max Coil, what a great combination for trashy areas. My Father-in-law who uses a DFX also found a 2 Cent piece and an Indianhead Cent. I just wanted to say Thanks to all the folks at White’s who make such great Detectors.

Sincerely,

John D.
