White's,
I received your email this morning, and spoke with you on the phone briefly about getting these pictures to you: Re: my XLT finds, with additional pictures from having used the DFX for 7 years. TOO many pictures to include, but these are some of the fun ones. They are numbered sequentially (with #1-3 being the pics I sent as a separate email earlier). Included a short description with each. Please feel free to use any of these now or down the line, as all finds where recovered using your White's detectors!
Photo descriptions:
1-3 Are finds from last month with the XLT while my DFX was being worked on there at your factory.
4 Another pic of my first gold ring of 2008 --- beach erosion find.
5-6 A very unusual find for the Oregon coast: an authenticated bronze Roman coin dating back to the reign of the Septimius Severas, 194-214 A.D. Bach find after enormous storm and beach erosion.
7 Silver medals and a clad dollar found next to one another at a depth of roughly sixteen inches in beach sand.
8-10 Various old silver coinage uncovered during winter beach erosion. Note the patina taken on by the coins from the saltwater influence.
11 An early 20th century type set put together in my early detecting some years ago with the xlt.
12 An old silver Asian locket.
13 Many foreign coins find their ways to our coast.
14 Old cast WWI toys found along a riverbed.
15 More silver, a silver bracelet with amber beads, and a gold ring, with the silver showing the affects of the saltwater influence.
16 Tennis bracelets and chain jewelry is always a thrill to find, and is not uncommon out on the summer low tidelines when conditions are right.
17 Silver bracelets recovered from a dried up lake bottom, using both the XLT and DFX.
18 Collecting can become thematic, as this picture shows with the religious themes.
19-21 Finds of gold and platinum, whether in class rings, wedding rings, or accessory jewelry, always represents "having the moment" when coming across one of these examples. Diamonds, emeralds, rubies, fire agate, opal ---- it's all out there waiting to be found!!!
#22 A most unusual find: 2 gold crowns, found within 30 feet of one another in summertime beach sand. What a story these two could tell!
Hope you enjoy these, and please let me know if you have any questions about these finds.
Sincerely,
Rich. M.
