Hello, my name is James S. and I've been a DFX owner for three years
now and still "finding the good stuff". I live in a mostly rural area here
in north east PA. The town I live in is chocked full of history dating back
to revolutionary times. I have yet to go out and not come back with
something to smile about. I have one certain area right in the middle of
town that always produces coins and relics from the late 1800's and early
1900's. Most of the coins pictured were found in this field obviously
overlooked by other TH'ers. The turn on and go programs are amazing by
themselves, but, I like to also play around with the settings and see the
resulting differences. One of my most memorable hunts was in a neighboring
town, in an old park. I had just found an 1874 Belgian 2 Cent piece at 5.5
inches and was elated. Walking back to my truck just at sunset I decided to
keep swinging the coil and got a 80-82 reading at 6 inches. I cut the flap
and scooped out the plug and checked the hole again...nothing. So, I started
breaking down the plug and couldn't find the source of the signal and then
at last out rolled this tiny silver disc, I couldn't believe I just found a
1888 Canadian nickel or half dime. It's the same size as a half dime. I have
found plenty since as well, including a 1917 type 1 standing quarter which
was in great shape. I have saved all the rings, trinkets other coins . in
a little wooden box. Time to get a bigger box. I'm looking forward to
another good year. Your detectors are superior in quality and I have never
had any trouble with it. This DFX was worth every penny. Thanks for all the
great times I've had and will have.
