Dear White’s,

I purchased my DFX on 8/5/08 and even though I have not yet found a silver coin, I know that I will someday!! Back in March, I had back surgery for a herniated disc…so this is therapy for me! The squatting helps exercise my legs and the swinging my arms! I have been mainly hitting tot-lots and parks and am enjoying it a lot!

A lot of the time, people will talk to me as I’m detecting the tot-lots. The adults are just curious about what I find. I usually tell them that I find coins, pull tabs and garbage and that it helps to clean up the area. I also let them know that I once found a “Utility Knife Blade” in the play area, when they hear this they are amazed and grateful! For the kids, depending on their age, I let them dig the finds in the tot-lots and teach them the correct way of detecting, by always covering your holes, I explain that this is so no one gets hurt! There have been countless kids that have said that this is really neat and that they want to get a detector someday!

I haven’t found an old silver coin (Yet) but I have found many modern clad coins and other good finds, like a knife and 4 rings!!!!! Here are pictures of my finds for the last two months since I purchased my White’s DFX detector!
