Hello! My name is Tony C. and I have been metal detecting for three years now. It is the best hobby that I have. It is always a surprise when you dig up something rare.

In October of 2006 I was on a farm in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. We were looking for civil war relics when I came across a very faint signal. When I started to dig, I wasn't really sure what I would find. Well, let me tell you, the deeper I dug, the louder the signal got. After digging about 20 inches down, I saw it! It was a live shankle shell! I was so excited as were the other people around me.
