I have been using a surf master for the past five years. Last week I purchased a BeachHunter ID. I have been working this one particular beach for the past several years with good results hundreds old gold and silver rings and hundreds of old coins. But after hunting this beach for years I needed a machine that would give me more depth. Today while hunting for the first time with my new BeachHunter ID in an area where I probably have been a 100 times before I came across an 1855 1 dollar gold Indian that was very deep. At first did not recognize it thinking that it was just another religious medallion but a closer glimpse realized what it was. Unfortunately it has a small hole drilled through it at one time. It could have possibly been a pendant. This is my first gold coin. I'm so happy I decided to upgrade to the Beach Hunter ID.
