Hello Whites,
I just looked at your web site and I noticed that the 6000 Pro XL is no
longer listed, so I would guess that it is no longer being produced. What
a shame to discontinue such an icon and to say good by to an old friend.
I have used the 6000 since 1983 and for digging a junky place, it's my
favorite detector to use. For instance, the 1st photo in this email I dug
at an old home site with my MXT on 12-19-06. This old home site is so
junky that the detector sounds like a sub-machine gun as you sweep. So on
12-23-06 I decided to dig the same old home sites again with my trusty
6000 Pro XL (see 2nd. photo in this email). The items that I dug with the
6000 Pro XL this day were - ornate brass, World War 1 button, wheatie,
flat button, parts of 3 pocket watches, 2 Jew's Harp's, harmonica reed,
brass slat out of a pocket knife, dog whistle. Bishop's baggage check -
patented March 2 , 1880. Guess I'm just more familiar with the 6000. I do
get more depth with the newer models such as the MXT.
