I was metal detecting one of the older parks in Salem, Oregon this past August and while I was just finding only clad coins. Then out of the ground came the sound of Gold from my MXT 300 a VDI of the number 14 or foil at 3 inches but it was a solid repeat sound (GOLD). It turned out to be a 1 / 10th oz 1986 American gold Eagle ring with ice. So this is the story and pictures of what was found. I used a White’s MXT 300 with a 6x10 Eclipse DD coil works well in parks and gold hunting on the streams.
