Dear White’s Electronics, I got permission for our club to hunt an antique flea market and was detecting with 10 other hunters when my DFX sounded off. It was a high number and normally it means a large piece of junk but this time right under the leaves and sand I came up with a coin in a soft plastic bag. A female hunter about 10 feet from me asked me what I found, I told her a Trade dollar, and she smiled and said I found an iron caster. I took my coin the next few days to Kellyco who sells detectors and Stu, the owner said "Whoa, don’t put your fingerprints on that coin, it is valuable. Tom, a coin dealer said it was a rare 1876CC Trade dollar in about ms61 condition. What a find. I will never forget this. Thanks White’s! Bill |
