Dear White’s Electronics, In March 2007 I went on vacation with some of my wife's family to Mexico. While there I hunted as much as I could. I got several rings, charms, coins and a bracelet. My best find came one evening while out with my sister-in-law, who wanted to go along to dig my targets (of course I agreed). Shortly into the search for treasurers, I got a signal, she scooped into the sand and we heard the sound of metal in the scoop. As she dumped the object into her hand, she said to me "it's just a piece of junk metal" and was just about the toss it when I yelled "WAIT! Let me see it". It was getting dark but I could see it was black, which probably meant it was silver, slightly encrusted and rough edged and could see faint markings of some kind. I knew I had something old and good. After returning home and doing some mild cleaning, I wound up finding that I had a 1683 Spanish I Reale pillars and waves style. WOW! What a find for me, I was ecstatic! This is my oldest find thus far. Thanks Whites for a great machine, the DFX! Mike E., PA
