White's, I recently found an ad on Craigslist about an individual in desperate need of a metal detector. Someone had lost a wedding ring. I responded to it but was told that they might already have found a person that would loan them one. I told them that if that didn't work out I would be happy to "give it a shot". Wanting to save the day, I called back to offer my assistance. They agreed that a person with experience would have a better chance of finding it then someone that never touched a detector. (I've been detecting since 1975) I arranged to meet with her husband at 8am the following morning. When I got there, he explained what he thought the chain of events were that contributed to the loss of his wife's wedding ring. I pulled my trusty V3 out of the suv and went to work. I walked over to the spot discussed earlier, ground balanced my V3 and within 10 seconds had a signal. I proceeded to brush some leaves away and there it was. They were amazed at how quick I found it. Mark |
