Hi White's Electronics:
I am located in Tennessee and have been hunting with my White's MXT for 2 years now. This machine is deadly on coins and jewelry. I was on this old farm land that was acquired by the city where a park was built. I had permission to hunt this site as it covered almost 300 acres, but not all is accessible to hunt. I was going slow and checking my sound signals to see what the vdi was showing. I got a signal and vdi of 1$, so I changed directions and checked it again and it was the same. I checked the depth and it registered at 6-7 inches. I begin digging and low and behold out came an old 1878 Morgan Carson City dollar. I checked around the area more and found a 1898 Barber half & 1908 Barber quarter at 5-6 inches depth. I went back several more times and found another 1890 Morgan Carson City dollar at around the same depth. I also found around 300 newer coins on this site at between 1-3 inches depth. I still go back and find a lot of newer coins. I was using a 4x6 Eclipse Shooter DD coil and plan to purchase a 5.3 (6x6) Eclipse coil to go with this terrific machine. I also have a White's BeachHunter ID that I use at the beach & local lake.
