Hi! My name is Bob Mote, and I've been involved in metal detecting and gold dredging for over 14 years. I'm also an active member and past president of the Northwest Mineral Prospecting Club for 4 years, and a member of the Oregon Treasure Trail Society.

The main thing for you is to learn enough about detectors before you purchase, so you will know which detector will do exactly what you expect it to do. That's where I can help. I will help you learn about the difference in detectors, where to go, and how to detect. My goal is to see that you use and have fun with whatever detector you get.
